Kaipara Harbour is home to Mataia Homestead, a working sheep and cattle farm built in 1891. The Gardner family has restored this stunning historic site and have graciously allowed the public to use it for weddings and private events. There are extensive gardens to place a Schupepe marquee and to accommodate your wedding guests for a spectacular outdoor wedding. While the homestead can only fit 12 guests, there is another farm-house nearby which can accommodate up to 100 people. It is truly perfect for those with an appreciation for historic treasures.
